Family of late Post Office victim win fight to clear her name

Caren Lorimer’s family took on her case after her death from cancer in April 2022.
They were expecting to be back in court this week but her conviction was quashed sooner than expected.
Caren’s husband David Lorimer said it “meant the world to him” but he was sad that his late wife had died before she was exonerated.

How much does uni in the UK cost and will I earn more if I go?

One of the biggest costs of going to university is the course itself.
Most students take out loans to pay for their undergraduate tuition.
The annual cost for UK students varies:
- England: £9,250
- Wales: £9,250
- Northern Ireland: £4,750 for Northern Irish students, or £9,250 for other UK students
- Scotland: Free for the majority of Scottish students, and £9,250 for other UK students

State pension and triple lock: How much is it and when can you get it?

The state pension has risen by 8.5% because of a measure known as the triple lock.
It means that pensioners receive an amount designed to keep up with rising prices and wages.
In the run up to the General Election, the Conservative Party has promised to raise the tax-free state pension allowance in what they have called a “Triple Lock Plus”. Labour has said this plan was not “credible”.
